Lora Williams

For more than 30 years I have been privileged to help men, women and children in Central Florida gain freedom from their pain, dysfunction, and the overall effects that stress has had on their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health.

My own physical pain ignited my passion for hands-on therapy. Like most kids, I had my share of bumps and bruises, trips and falls, but I also had a significant bicycle accident when I was around ten years old. There were no broken bones and stitches were not necessary, so the town doctor sent me on my way. In the months and years to follow, I started having chronic pain throughout my body. My mother took me to the chiropractor for regular treatments, with only minimal relief.

I don’t know what sparked it for her, although I am grateful that my mother had an interest in healing and nutrition. She taught herself foot reflexology and ministered to the needs of our family and friends. With the aid of her various books, I learned foot reflex and acupressure points to relieve my own pain.

Although I had a lengthy career as a legal secretary, my burning desire was to learn more about touch therapies in order to help relieve the pain of others. Due to many changes in my life, shortly after my mother’s death I attended school, and in 1987 received my Florida massage therapy license.

A massage therapy license was just the beginning for me. I have continued my education in various forms of bodywork, including: neuromuscular therapy; manual lymph drainage; myofascial release; somatic movement; Micro Point Stimulation (MPS) Therapy, specifically Scar Release Therapy, using the Dolphin Neurostim; and Upledger CranioSacral Therapy.

On-site Massage Therapy

One of the most challenging and satisfying aspects of my business was during the years I provided on-site massage to the partners and staff of several, large Orlando law firms.  It all began in 1994 during my transition from legal secretary to full-time massage therapist.

An opportunity occurred to temp at a law firm well known for taking care of its employees. One of my assignments was helping Meg in human resources, who was responsible for the secretarial staff. Meg encouraged me to move forward with my dream of bringing on-site massage to Orlando’s law firms. She recognized how my experience as a legal secretary would be advantageous in developing such a program.

I took a 2-day, on-site chair massage workshop and ordered my portable chair. Meg took a chance on me and explained the concept and benefits of an on-site massage program to the firm’s executive committee. They agreed to give it a go!  I am proud to have had a weekly, twenty-five year working relationship with that law firm.

I have personally experienced healing on many levels that I never thought possible, and my health continues to improve. I have a deep sense of fulfillment and satisfaction as I assist hurting people gain freedom from their pain. I continue to be amazed and intrigued, honored and privileged, to share in another person’s healing experience.

2024 and Beyond

I no longer maintain an office; instead, I work with ladies only in the privacy of their homes.  Some of my clients have their own massage table. However, most of the time I bring my portable massage table.

In some cases, I treat clients on my portable massage chair as it may allow for better access to the areas being treated. There are even situations when I work with a client who is bedridden. Other times, it may be best to sit beside her on the sofa, or on my stool next to a woman sitting in a chair. I adapt each woman’s treatment session as necessary.

Since I have many years of experience in traveling to both homes and offices, I can quickly set up in the appropriate space in your home.
